Affligem Tripel

King of the abbey beers. Delivers a complex, full bodied flavour. Vibrant orangey-amber coloured with a slight haze. Soft, thick creamy head - luscious to behold. Aroma of yeast, pepper, coriander, pear, tangerine and banana. Palate starts out with abundant yeastiness in the form of sweat and dust. Dry pepper alcohol notes come next, leading to a slightly sweeter velvet fruity middle with tangerines and apple skins. Finishes with a herbal hoppines, a slight shot of alcohol & a kiss of sweet malt for balance.

Pure enjoyment! Secondary fermentation in the bottle.
Affligem is brewed in Belgium according to the original recipe of the Benedictines since 1074.
In 2004 Affligem Tripel has received the golden medal for best abbey beer in the world.
